Born from Music, Built for the World
Travel Through Music was founded by Safiya, a musician, singer-songwriter, live sound engineer, and budding ethnomusicologist whose life had always moved to the rhythm of live performance and international travel.
When the world went quiet in 2020, Safiya channeled that loss into something lasting. Rather than wait for the world to reopen, she opened a new kind of door: a monthly box that could transport people anywhere on the planet through the power of music and culture.
What started as a creative response to an impossible moment has grown into a multi-dimensional cultural arts platform, one that serves as a bridge between artists and audiences, creating meaningful connections through creativity and shared human experience.
